This year Thea Reifler, Philipp Bergmann and Marina Porobic are responsible for the organization of BONE. They are strongly supported by Demian Jakob (Technical Direction), Lena Pfäffli (curatorial assistant) and a team of amazing helpers and collaborators. We would like to point out that this year’s edition’s Friday was curated in collaboration with Criptonite and Saturday in collaboration with Blaque/bla:k/ by café révolution.

Thea Reifler (CH) and Philipp Bergmann (DE) are working together in the fields of music theater, opera, performance, installation, direction and curation. In recent years they have developed interdisciplinary projects with a queer-feminist focus.

They have been shown at the Museum Hamburger Bahnhof in Berlin, the Museum für Moderne Kunst in Frankfurt, the 3HD-Festival in Berlin, the Performing Arts Festival Berlin, Schlachthaustheater Bern, the SpielArt- Festival in Munich, the Nowy-Teatr in Warsaw, the European Center for the Arts Dresden and the Opera Darmstadt, among others. Their work “Your Unlikely Friend” was featured at Zurich’s Theater Spektakel in 2019.

For the years 2020-2025, Thea Reifler and Philipp Bergmann will take over the artistic direction of the Shedhalle Zurich. With their concept PROTOZONES 2020-2025 they establish the Shedhalle as an institution for process-based art.

Thea Reifler studied dance and theater studies as well as art history in Bern and applied theater studies in Giessen. In addition to artistic and curatorial projects, they also teach art at the Institute of Architecture at ETH Zurich.

Philipp Bergmann studied Applied Theater Studies in Giessen and was a guest at Städelschule Frankfurt. In addition to artistic and curatorial projects, Philipp has been working since 2019 in the research project “Fleeting Collecting. Prerequisites and Possibilities for the Inclusion of Performance Art in Collections” at HSLU Lucerne and holds a K++V lectureship there as well since this year.

Marina Porobic studied art history. She has been working at the BONE Festival since 2015 and was curator of the Convent Church in Bellelay from 2012 to 2021.
